Michael Torres - Producer/Director
Michael is an artist, filmmaker and editor, with over 15 years experience in film and television production. He is currently editing a film about the scientific efficacy of prayer with director, Alicia Elkort. Nacionalista is his first time directing and producing a documentary film, for which he received initial support from Latino Public Broadcasting and the ITVS Diversity Development Fund. He has also workshopped the film at the PBS Producers Academy and Film Independents, Project Involve.
Nina Alvarez - Producer/Director
Nina is an award-winning journalist, filmmaker and video photographer. For over twenty years, she has been dedicated to reporting and telling stories through television documentary and news, multimedia and radio. Nina produced, wrote and directed The New Americans, an episode of the NEH-supported series, Latino Americans (PBS, September 2013). She has just completed the short documentary film, Fields of Promise, which will aired on PBS’s Independent Lens in 2016.
Ray Telles - Consulting Producer
Ray’s 30-year career in film and television includes the production of numerous documentaries and news magazine segments. He has produced and directed for public and network television, including ABC's Turning Point and NBC's Dateline, National Geographic Explorer and Discovery. His independent productions include films supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities and ITVS.

Greg Batista - Executive Producer
Greg was born in Puerto Rico, raised in the United States, then returned to Puerto Rico for his High School, then College education at The University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, majoring in Civil Engineering. Greg currently lives in Florida and is President of G. Batista & Associates, and engineering and construction firm in South Florida. Mr. Batista is also Treasurer of PROFESA (Puerto Rican Professional Association), Director at the Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico (USA Chapter), and member of the Puerto Rican Leadership Council.
Alfredo Robles - Associate Producer
Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, Alfredo is an artist and filmmaker who has been part of the crew from the very beginning serving as a DP, Grip, Producer and Location Manager. He learned filmmaking at Full Sail University.
Teresa J.V. Ramirez - Associate Producer

Teresa J.V. Ramirez loves capturing moments in photographs and on video. She is an artist at heart and is on a life long journey to master her craft.
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, she watched her family struggle financially. She worked hard and used pay earned from various part time jobs to get herself through college. She earned an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television. Teresa now has over 8 years of experience in the entertainment industry and is truly grateful for the challenges each day brings.
